Mixers, I've gotten some concerned emails and comments about the status of your mixes because of the results of the story claims. We have not received only 16 fic headers. There are only 16 mixes that are half completed, which was necessary to be included in story claims. We were expecting 50 fic headers and at this point we've received 44 headers, not including the 3 that were claimed within the last two weeks. Just three authors have not been heard from. I've sent emails to these authors and if I don't receive a response soon, these three mixes will be put up for a pinch-hit. If you're worried that the missing authors has claimed one of your mixes, feel free to comment here or email the bigbang_mixup. However, you could just email your author or wait and see if your mix is put up for a pinch-hit.

How claims will work: On May 14th, 12:00 am EST, there will be a preview of all summaries eligible for claims. It will be broken into two post: July and August. On May 15th, 12:00 am EST claims will open. An artist will claim a mix. I will confirm the artist's choice and send contact information to the artist, the writer, and the mixer. The writer will send their rough draft to the artist.

There's a little under 36 hours left to send in the fic headers. The absolute final deadline to be included in the story claims is 11:59 pm EST, May 13th. This is primarily for those posting in July, but if we can go ahead and get artists for August posting, that would be great. Even if you have 0 words written, if you are still participating in this big bang send in the fic header. To be eligible for story claims, it must be 50% completed. To be eligible for some type of art, the fic header must be turned in by the deadline.
If you are dropping, let me and your mixer know. We've done really well on pinch-hitters, but we can't find one if we don't know we're supposed to be looking for one. If you cannot send in the header, but still want to participate, and don't need art, shoot me a email about it.
